If you are late, you may be held out or reseated until an appropriate time for you to get to your assigned seat. People who arrive late disturb the performers on stage and audience members. It is best to arrive about 30 minutes early so that you have time to purchase concessions, take care of personal needs (drinks of water or restroom), find your seat and read the program before the show starts.

Valet parking is available for Majestic Theatre Starlight Suite  ticket holders only.

Please silence or turn off all electronic devices, including cell phones, beepers, and watch alarms. We encourage you to share your experience at the Theatres via social media, but please refrain from doing so or texting during performances; the glow from your device is distracting.

Recording devices and cameras are not permitted in the theatre.

There is no specific dress code for attending shows at the Majestic and Empire Theatres. Guests should wear what is appropriate for the show they are attending. We usually suggest business casual attire.

We recommend that children under five not attend the shows unless otherwise stated.  Every person must have a ticket regardless of age to attend. While most of our shows are for mature audiences, we leave it up to the parent to decide if a show is appropriate for their children. A Full-Service Bar is offered at all performances. Beverages include wine, beer, soft drinks, mixed drinks, champagne, margaritas, coffee, juice and water. Candy is also available. Outside food and beverage are not permitted in the theatre.

Merchandise is sold in the theatre lobby, if the tour is selling merchandise.

Smoking is not permitted in any area of the Majestic or Charline McCombs Empire Theatres. Smoking patios are designated outside the main entrance of both theatres.

Starting with the 2019-2020 Broadway in San Antonio season, the Majestic Theatre will be offering GalaPro as the primary captioning service. If GalaPro is being offered, it will be available for all performance dates and times. GalaPro is the first-of-its kind mobile application that enabled attendees to not only see and hear the performances, but to understand what is being said as well. Open Captioning is a text display located close to the stage that scrolls words in synchronization with the performance. Open captioning performances are scheduled for the below indicated dates and times, which are generally on the Sunday Matinee performances. 

For the upcoming season, the following shows will not offer GalaPro and will instead utilize the traditional Open Caption display on stage.

Starting in 2019 the Majestic Theatre will also be offering GalaPro on various performances in the Broadway in San Antonio Series.

GalaPro is a revolutionary, innovative app for accessibility and translation, which enhances the audience’s experience for live performances. Patrons using the app can now enjoy the show with subtitles, dubbing, audio description, closed captioning, and amplification in their own language. All services are provided in real-time, using voice recognition technology.
 
GalaPro is the first-of-its-kind mobile application that enables the attendees to not only see and hear the performance, but to understand what is being said as well. GalaPro is compatible with any smartphone or tablet and can cater to any theater, venue and language in the world.

GalaPro requires a one-time installation of the app. It is easily accessible and can be downloaded for free from the App Store/Google Play. Then, the user simply chooses the venue, the show they wish to see, and service(s). Using our multilingual system, GalaPro provides users with the complete itinerary and program. They can choose from subtitles, closed captioning, dubbing, all provided in real time, as well as the Audio Describe Program for the visually impaired. Our unique technology is designed specifically to adhere to the theater.  Airplane mode is always on so there will be no messages or phone calls, and a black screen with red font that only the individual looking at the screen can read. There are no bright lights to disturb anyone.

Instructions:

- Download GalaPro from the App Store or Google Play.
- Search for GalaPro (one word).
- New users select “Get Started Now” and enter your email and create a password.
- Tap the compass arrow to select your city.
- Choose “Show” on the home page for show information.

When you are in the theater, right before the show:

- Set your phone to Airplane mode
- Turn on Wi-Fi and choose the GalaPro Wi-Fi with the password “galapro1” (all lowercase)

Assistive listening devices are available for the hearing impaired. Patrons must present a valid driver's license or valid state identification when checking out units.

The Majestic Theatre does offer accessible seating. Accessible seats may be purchased by phone. Please contact the Theatre Box Office, 210.226.3333 or Ticketmaster, 800.982.2787.

We rarely cancel performances due to weather. In cases of inclement weather, we strongly recommend that patrons use public transportation where possible, travel safely and allow plenty of time to arrive at the theatre on time. During inclement weather, updates will also be posted onwww.majesticempire.com and the Theatre Facebook page. We recommend that patrons check these sites frequently if there is a pending or occurring storm.

We strongly urge all of our patrons to purchase their tickets through an Authorized Ticket Source which are the Majestic & Empire Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster and Broadway in San Antonio. We do not recommend that patrons purchase tickets through unauthorized outlets, online resellers or other ticket sales operations.

Tickets obtained from sources other than the Majestic Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster or Broadway in San Antonio may be lost, stolen or counterfeit and will not be honored. Please know who you are purchasing your tickets from.

In the unlikely event a performance is cancelled, we will inform patrons via phone, email, or mail and give patrons appropriate information regarding the show’s ticketing policies. Ticket holders are also encouraged to return to their original point of purchase for more information. We recommend that patrons check for updates and information regarding their scheduled performance by visiting www.majesticempire.com and the Theatre Facebook page.

Tickets may be purchased at the Theatre Box Office, located at 226 E. Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 10AM to 5PM. On performance days, the box office closes 30 minutes after the curtain time. For more information, click here.

If you cannot find your tickets and have purchased them through an Authorized Ticket Source (Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster or Broadway In San Antonio) we have a record of your sales transaction and can accommodate you. Please return to your point of purchase as soon as you as you discover you have misplaced your ticket(s). We will confirm your seating and issue a “Location Pass”, which you will pick up at the Will Call window one hour before your performance. For security purposes Location Passes will not be mailed. Identification and payment verification will be needed when you pick up the tickets. If tickets were purchased through an unauthorized ticket reseller, we cannot guarantee replacement.
