300 years of San Antonio history. Living in the now. Charting our own destiny.
TEDxSanAntonio presents its 2018 Main Event: Past, Present, Future.
For the first time ever, our annual Main Event will be in downtown San Antonio at the beautiful, historic Charline McCombs Empire Theatre. Tickets are available here.
We heard community feedback about the length of previous events, so this year we will be featuring a half-day program. A tentative schedule is below.
We'll still have live TED-style talks from local leaders and global experts, in addition to visiting our favorite recorded TED talks. We'll also still have networking opportunities with the speakers and other attendees at our exclusive after party.
We also heard community feedback about the cost of attending, so we have lowered ticket prices! Early Bird pricing is available through Wednesday, September 12. Regular pricing will be available Sept 13-Nov 2. If we aren’t sold out, we will have tickets at the door.
Check tedxsanantonio.com for updates on the event, including speakers, sponsors, and other exciting announcements. Register today!
Past, Present, Future schedule (subject to change):
1pm - Registration
2pm - Act I
3:45pm - Break
4:30pm - Act II
6-8pm - After Party @ TBD
About TEDx, x=independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
There have been hundreds of TEDx events worldwide; some are organized around a specific theme, such as TEDxOilSpill or TEDMed; some are regional like TEDxSanAntonio.
